Yep they are bff’s! Frankie and Lola ( formerly Spike and Tara), brother and sister reunited after 8 months apart. Adopted as puppies- one went to us the other went where she wasn’t loved, but ended up with us!
Could not be happier and they wear each other out with play! This all happened b/c of a random stop at the Humane Society to pet some kitties..must have been fate!
In August of 1999 I adopted Benjamin T. from the Humane Society of Tampa Bay. He was one of a litter of six, six weeks old, the only boy and looked like the tip of his tail had been dipped in black paint. His head was square shaped and I was told he was definitely a terrier mix and would probably max out at around 25 pounds.
Long story short, he grew to 55 pounds of solid muscle. His short legs and extra long body and tail looked like a Basset Hound, but his gorgeous medium length hair was the color of a Yorkie and the feel of a wire haired something. His square jaw and matching attitude was definitely ALL terrier. As he grew his front legs began to grow twisted and that was when the vet confirmed he was a mitochondrial dwarf. I took the bull by the horns and provided the best supplements, medications and care I could find.
My precious boy lived to be 14 and passed away a week ago. He took all of my heart with him and I miss him every second, but thank you SO much for letting me take him home all those years ago.
