Part-time Handyman

We are looking for someone who is interested in helping us when we have projects in-house that require experience in the area of “Jack of all Trades”. General knowledge and experience in carpentry, light plumbing, dry wall, painting, tool/equipment maintenance, etc.

Because of the nature of our business and a tight budget, we use creativity to address some of our needs to accommodate the animals. We don’t always use conventional methods to achieve our goals, so someone with the ability to think outside the box is necessary. We have all the tools necessary for any work needed but candidate is welcome to bring his/her own. Since our projects pop up without notice some times, we are looking for someone with a flexible schedule.

Cody and Gia came to HSTB this December with donations in tow! They used to be Betty Boop and Cody and were extremely emaciated when we took them in two years ago. One of our Gold-shirt volunteers fostered them back to health and they have found a wonderful forever family! Now they are so happy and healthy. The profile picture is them with their new family and donations, and the picture below is their reunion with their foster mom, Ornella. What a happy ending and great gift for the holidays to see them again. ~Ben Moehnert, HSTB Adoption Manager
