The Humane Society of Tampa Bay is seeking a full-time Accounting/AR Clerk for our Animal Health Center.
The Animal Health Center (AHC) is a full-service, affordable veterinary hospital open to the public seven days a week. In 2014, the AHC performed more than 14,000 spay/neuter surgeries and provided medical care to nearly 33,000 owned pets promoting the Humane Society of Tampa Bay’s mission to end animal homelessness and provide care and comfort for companion animals in need.
Candidates must have experience in the following areas
- Process payments and post them to client accounts
- Prepare daily/monthly management reports
- Review daily reports and correct errors
- Contact clients regarding their account and collect past due amounts
- Maintain information in Excel spreadsheets; export data from clinic software
- Maintain daily files for surgery and wellness patients
Candidate must have a minimum of two years experience and be proficient in Excel, Word, and Outlook. Candidate must also possess and demonstrate excellent team player spirit, be able to multi-task, follow through in a very busy environment, be self-motivated, detail-oriented and able to work independently. Ability to effectively communicate with staff and clients in both oral and written form also required.
Salary is based on experience level. Benefits available.

Full-Time Surgery Technician for Shelter
The Humane Society of Tampa Bay is seeking a full-time, experienced Surgery Tech for the shelter. Candidates must have experience in the following areas:
- Monitoring Anesthesia
- Intubation, both cats and dogs
- Basic knowledge of anesthetic drugs
- Ability to administer vaccines
- Basic anatomy knowledge for anesthetic injection
Candidate must have a minimum of two years clinical experience and be proficient in cytology, urinalysis, fecals, parasite identification and treatment, blood draws, vaccinations, tests, skins scrapes, aging, animal restraint, medication dosing calculations and their uses. Candidate must also possess and demonstrate excellent team player spirit, be able to multi-task, show focus and follow through in a very busy environment, be self-motivated, able to work independently in a high-volume environment and able to lift up to 50 lbs.
