How old do you have to be to volunteer?

Does HSTB offer volunteer opportunities for groups/corporations?
HSTB does allow groups/corporations to volunteer and assist with special projects or at special events as needed. To inquire about bringing in your group, please contact Leslie Menichino, Volunteer Manager at 813-774-4344 or by email at volunteer@humanesocietytampa.org.
Is there a dress code for volunteers?
Volunteers will be given a volunteer t-shirt and name tag at orientation, for a $5 donation. Most jobs require volunteers to wear their volunteer t-shirts, name tags and comfortable pants/jeans or shorts. Flip flops or sandals are not permitted while working at the shelter or clinic. Dress code may vary for special events.
What hours am I able to volunteer?
Volunteers are able to volunteer Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 7:00 PM and Saturdays and Sundays from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. Volunteers can also volunteer on holidays when the shelter is closed from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM.
How do I register for the volunteer orientation?
Please visit our Volunteer Orientation page to see the upcoming dates and times. Click on the “Register Now” button under the calendar to register for an upcoming orientation. You can also fill out the online Volunteer Application from the Orientation page as well.
