From June 1-7 2017, the Humane Society of Tampa Bay will offer complimentary cat and kitten adoptions through their partnership with Scotties® Facial Tissues by Royale®. This initiative coincides with the beginning of Adopt-A-Cat month and in response to a busy kitten season that has brought the shelter an overwhelming number of cats and kittens in need.
The Humane Society of Tampa Bay received a $5,000 grant from Scotties to support the week-long promotion where all fees associated with adopting felines will be waived at the shelter located at 3607 N. Armenia Avenue in Tampa. Initiated by Scotties in 2014, this ongoing effort to increase the number cats and kittens going to good homes has been a key focus for the [Scotties] brand and a great success for the Humane Society of Tampa Bay. All adoptable cats and kittens are spayed / neutered, microchipped, screened for temperament, and are up to date on all shots and vaccinations.
“We are thrilled to partner with Scotties® Facial Tissues by Royale® to help more cats and kittens find homes,” said Sherry Silk, Chief Executive Officer of the Humane Society of Tampa Bay. “Kitten season can be particularly brutal in Florida where warm weather keeps cats breeding well into the winter months. That is why in addition to helping facilitate feline adoptions, we practice aggressive spay/neuter in our community to help reduce the problem of overpopulation.”
