By the time the sun rose on the morning of April 6, 2014, there was already a line of people and their pets wrapped around the back of the Humane Society of Tampa Bay in West Tampa. Citizens from all over Hillsborough County came out for the Society’s 11th Free Shot Clinic which lasted from 8:00a.m. until noon. For the first time ever, the clinic was held at the shelter and free microchips were offered along with the vaccinations. By 10:30 a.m. all allotted tickets had been given out and when noon rolled around, nearly 1,000 pets had received free, life-saving services.
The Humane Society of Tampa Bay will hold another clinic in late fall 2014.
