Sweet Ursula was found alone and struggling to give birth on a roadway in Brandon. She was taken to Hillsborough County Pet Resource Center where they took immediate medical action to try to save her and her puppies. Sadly, her puppies could not be revived but Ursula pulled through even though she was extremely malnourished, ill, and weak. She was transferred to our shelter in the middle of December to find a new, loving home. She received several weeks of medical care, rest and TLC from our amazing staff and volunteers and is now feeling much healthier and happier. It is our hope that we can find her a loving home before the New Year so that she can ring it in with her very own family. UPDATE 12/30/16: Ursula went home! Her new family saw her touching story on ABC Action News – WFTS – Tampa Bay and knew she was destined to be a part of their lives. Some of our staff posed for her go-home pic, in place of the camera-shy parents, to represent all of us here at Humane Society of Tampa Bay and to show how very loved she was during her stay. It has been a pleasure and an honor, Ursula, you will never leave our hearts
