Shelter Dog Shines at State of Florida Cabinet Meeting

On February 6, 2014, State Attorney General Pam Bondi held her annual Cabinet meeting at the Florida State Fairgrounds to kick off the Florida State Fair. Attorney General Bondi is a wonderful advocate for animals and has two rescue dogs of her own. She believes strongly in bringing awareness to the plight of homeless animals in our state and features adoptable pets at all of her Cabinet meetings. We are fortunate to be one of her organizations of choice when she is in Tampa!

Peace, an 8 week old Chihuahua mix, was a hit with the whole Cabinet and everyone in attendance. Peace had been in our foster program with his mother and siblings for several weeks. The Cabinet meeting was his very first appearance in the community as a pup ready to find his forever home. And, he did! He was adopted a few hours after the meeting.

Thank you, Attorney General, for inviting us to join you and for spreading the word about adopting pets in need.
