The Rainbow Bridge

Rainbow Bridge e1325527800912 Rainbow Bridge

“There is a bridge connecting Heaven and Earth. It is called the Rainbow Bridge because of its many colors. Just this side of the Rainbow Bridge, there is a land of meadows, hills and valleys with lush green grass.

When a beloved pet dies, the pet goes to this place. There is always food and water and warm spring weather. The old and frail animals are young again. Those who are maimed are made whole again. They play all day with each other.

There is only one thing missing. They are not with their special person who loved them on Earth. So, each day they run and play until the day comes when one suddenly looks up! The nose twitches. The ears are up. The eyes are staring. And this one suddenly runs from the group.

You have been seen, and when you and your special friend meet, you take him or her in your arms and embrace. Your face is kissed again and again and again, and you look once more into the eyes of your trusting pet. Then you cross the Rainbow Bridge together, never again to be separated.”

Happy Tale # 279
happytale279 Rainbow Bridge
Good Afternoon, Our family adopted “Cassanova”, now Charlie, from your Adoption Expo back in November. I just wanted to let you know that he is a purrrfect fit for our family. We changed his name to give him a new identity to go with his new home, plus it’s easier for our 16 month old to say! Charlie has been absolutely wonderful with our daughter! He has not hissed or scratched her once, actually, he follows her around the house just keeping enough distance from her little tail pulling hands. He is very much affectionate and loving with all of us. I really feel like we won the lottery with him. He never begs for human food, he is very clean, never messes outside the litter box, honestly my only complaint is that he’s quite the talker. But hey, I can be bit of a talker myself, so who am I to throw stones! I just wanted to let everyone know how Charlie, aka Cassanova, is doing. I’ve attached a picture of him basking in my other office chair. I also wanted to say thank you to everyone at the Humane Society Tampa Bay for everything you do for these animals. And thank you for helping my family find the perfect addition to our clan! Aubrey
