Report Animal Abuse
Help those who are unable to call out for help themselves.
To report abuse of an animal please call Hillsborough County Animal Services at 813-744-5660. The Humane Society of Tampa Bay does not have Animal Control Officers on staff. These officers are part of a county organization that is separate from our private, non-profit organization.
“The basis of all animal rights should be the Golden Rule: we should treat them as we would wish them to treat us, were any other species in our dominant position.” ~Christine Stevens
We got Oliver from the Humane Society of Tampa Bay on April 1st, 2009. There was a sign posted that said that black cats & dogs often were the last ones to get adopted, so I decided to choose a black cat, the one that had been there the longest. Oliver was hiding in the back of his cage, in the corner, so we couldn’t even see him until one of the staff there brought him into a room. He seemed pretty terrified of us at first, but after a few minutes he let us pet him lightly. He was shy at home for a while, but eventually showed his true personality, which is that of a “sidekick.” He follows me around everywhere and is very fun and loving. He loves going on vacation with us and his sister, Torbie (who came from the Oregon Humane Society). We love our kitties & we love the Humane Society of Tampa Bay!!!
