Orientation
To become a volunteer, you are required to attend a Volunteer Orientation. Orientations will be held twice a month in the HSTB Conference Center (holidays and special events excluded). These dates are subject to change so please check this site frequently for any changes in dates and/or times. You are required to pre-register for the orientation. To register, please select the date on the calendar below for the orientation that you would like to attend. Once you have registered for orientation, please complete the online Volunteer application below.
The next dates for Orientation are:
- February 11, 2012 from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM FULL
- February 25, 2012 from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM FULL
- March 3, 2012 from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM FULL
- March 7, 2012 from 5:30 – 7:30 PM
- March 24, 2012 from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM FULL
- April 4, 2012 from 5:30 – 7:30 PM
- April 14, 2012 from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM FULL
- April 28, 2012 from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM
*Orientations start promptly at 10:00 AM, please make every effort to arrive on time. If you arrive late, you may be asked to attend the next orientation. Thank you!
Prior to Orientation:
Please fill out the Volunteer Application, and review the Volunteer Training Manual. On your first day of volunteering you will be given your volunteer t-shirt and name badge for a $5 donation.
Please note: You must be 16 years or older to volunteer at the Humane Society of Tampa Bay.
Wanted to say Hi and thank you again. It has been about a year and a half since we adopted Cullen from your facility. He continues to bring us so much joy! Here is our little guy helping with the yard work.
