In 2014, Schifino Lee created a branding campaign, “Sabrastian”, to help a bonded pair of dogs who’d been with us for a very long time get adopted.

This time around the partnership will result in a campaign aimed to support fundraising efforts and community awareness.

The sparkling jingle of splashing water, the rhythm of quick paws on dirt, the chorus of excited barks and yips … these sounds make up the daily, morning soundtrack for staff and volunteers at the Humane Society of Tampa Bay. From 8:30am – 11:30am, our dogs participate in supervised group play to help enrich their lives while they are here with us.

This daily “group therapy” is an exceptional way to provide blood pumping, muscle building exercise, build social skills with other dogs and learn appropriate ways to communicate with one another. The play time alleviates dogs’ frustration from being in kennels too long and also allow us to identify and understand important information about each individual dog that helps us to place them in appropriate homes.

kittensIt has been an incredibly busy kitten season and shelters across Florida are struggling to meet the resulting demands. Shelters are full, rescues are full and many people are at a loss for what to do with litters they have from unaltered pet cats or that they have found on the streets.

In answer to the numerous calls for help we have received the Humane Society of Tampa Bay is offering free Kitten Kits to the public. These kits give individuals the tools they need to care for kittens in their homes until they are old enough to be spayed or neutered, receive vaccinations, and enter our adoption program (normally at 8 weeks of age). Kits can be picked up at our Animal Intake Building (3607 N. Armenia Ave) between 9am – 5pm every day, and include the following items:

  • Kitten Formula
  • Bottles
  • Litter Box and Litter
  • Dry and Wet Kitten Food

We also offer a Littermates Program that offers free spay/neuter of adult animals remaining in the home when you surrender their litter to us for adoption.
