The Humane Society of Tampa Bay will host the 14th Annual Tuxes & Tails fundraising gala on Saturday, October 22, 2016 at the Tampa Convention Center from 5:30pm – 11:00pm. The Arabian Nights themed event will begin with a two-hour cocktail party featuring silent auction, adoptable pets, complimentary beer and wine, appetizers and photo ops in the setting of a Marrakesh Marketplace. New this year, sponsors and special guests will enjoy a VIP Lounge with exclusive entertainment, featured adoptable pets, and complimentary drinks. Dinner will follow in the ballroom, transformed into a sumptuous Arabian palace, with a live auction, special entertainment by Dorene Collier’s Event Show Productions, and a runway show pairing local celebrities and Society supporters with adoptable pets. For attendees still in the mood to mingle after the program, an after-party with complimentary hookah and cigar bars, appetizers, and drinks will be available along the water at the Sail Pavilion.

FOX 13 News’ Cynthia Smoot and Russell Rhodes will serve as the evenings Mistress and Master of Ceremonies. Last year’s sold out event, themed Moulin Rouge, brought nearly 1,000 animal lovers from across Tampa Bay who helped to raise $220,000, and found homes for 42 adoptable pets.  The Humane Society of Tampa Bay expects an even larger gathering this year to directly support the homeless pets at the shelter.
