We received a message the morning of Friday, October 7, 2016, that two dogs had been abandoned, dumped by some trash cans in a small crate, during the Hurricane Matthew related storms the night before. We were able to rescue the dogs who had gotten loose and were in danger of being hit by a vehicle.

Francesca (black/tan) and Casanova (tan) are now safe at our shelter where they will be cared for and placed for adoption. We believe they are 12-18 month old littermates, possibly Yorkie/Lhasa Apso mixes. Although they are very dirty and have painful matting, they appear to be in good health. They will be available for adoption some time after Monday, October 12, 2016.
