Girl Scout Programs
Here at the Humane Society of Tampa Bay, we offer Girl Scout Programs for all levels. Programs are available to meet specific badge requirements or just to come for a few hours and earn a fun patch. Scouts will have animal interaction time, get a tour of the shelter, and have a lot of fun!
Inspired by the “5 Flowers, 4 Stories and 3 Cheers for Animals” Journey Book, our Daisy program helps girls learn about caring for pets and being kind. Through animal interaction, games, and crafts, Daisies learn how we care for pets, and how to become responsible pet owners as they grow up.
In our Brownie Pet Badge Program, we discuss the needs of pets and how to keep them healthy, comfy, safe and loved.
Through games, crafts and activities, Brownies will learn to care for shelter animals and their own pets as well. At the end of the program, each Brownie will receive the Brownie Pets Badge.
In our Junior Program, troops learn about the shelter and the animals we help through diverse activities and crafts.
Scouts will get a tour of the animal shelter and will received the Animal Shelter fun patch.
In our Cadette Animal Helpers Badge Program, we offer a unique opportunity to achieve the badge at the Humane Society of Tampa Bay.
Through different activities, Cadettes will learn the various ways in which animals can help humans and how humans continue to find ways that animals can help us.
Upon completion of this program, Cadettes will receive the Animal Helpers Badge.
